Our take: ENBD's flagship travel card: exceptional portal earn rates and a genuinely deep travel-perk stack, if you clear the ⃃ 25,000 salary bar.

Heads up: The 12x rate applies only on the Voyager Travel Portal; everyday retail earns 1 mile per ⃃ 1, and groceries, fuel, utilities and EU/UK spend earn just 10–25% of that.

Why we chose it

What makes it strong

The Voyager World Elite is Emirates NBD's strongest pure-travel proposition. Booking through the Voyager Travel Portal at 12 miles per ⃃ — with 6x on any other travel — builds a miles balance faster than almost anything else in the UAE market, and the perk stack (unlimited lounges, airport transfers at both ends, meet & greet, fast-track immigration, OneVasco visa service) covers the whole journey, not just the departure gate.

What to watch

The catch is concentration: everyday retail earns a modest 1 mile per ⃃, penalty categories earn far less, and the ⃃ 1,575 renewal fee from year two only pays for itself if you actually travel several times a year. If your spend is mostly domestic and everyday, a cashback card will return more.

Pros

  • Huge earn rate: 12 miles per ⃃ 1 on the Voyager portal, 6 on other travel
  • Up to 150,000 Voyager Miles welcome bonus on ⃃ 70,000 spend
  • Unlimited lounge access plus airport transfers, meet & greet and 3 fast-track passes a year
  • First-year annual fee waived (⃃ 1,575 value)
  • Lower 3.25% monthly interest rate than most ENBD cards

Cons

  • ⃃ 1,575 annual fee from year two
  • ⃃ 25,000 minimum salary shuts out most applicants
  • Base retail earn is just 1 mile per ⃃ 1 — and groceries, fuel, utilities and EU/UK spend earn only 10–25% of that
  • 1.99% foreign-transaction fee plus a ~1.15% network fee on non-⃃ spend
  • Top rates require booking through the bank's own Voyager Travel Portal

Why we chose it

What makes it strong

Free-for-life travel cards with real lounge access are rare in the UAE, and that is the Voyager World's whole pitch: no fee, Mastercard Travel Pass lounges, UAE and select international airport transfers, a OneVasco visa service and a 75,000-mile welcome bonus, at an approachable ⃃ 12,000 salary requirement.

What to watch

Treat it as a travel companion, not a daily driver. At 0.5 miles per ⃃ on retail — and a fraction of that on groceries, fuel and utilities — everyday spend builds miles slowly, and the 3.69% monthly interest rate is among the highest in ENBD's lineup. Book travel on it, pay it in full, and pair it with a cashback card for the daily basket.

Pros

  • No annual fee, ever — rare for a travel card with lounge access
  • 75,000 Voyager Miles welcome bonus on ⃃ 35,000 spend
  • 6 miles per ⃃ 1 on the Voyager portal, 3 on other travel bookings
  • Complimentary lounge access via Mastercard Travel Pass
  • Airport transfers in the UAE and at select international destinations

Cons

  • Weak everyday earning — just 0.5 miles per ⃃ 1 on retail
  • Groceries, fuel, utilities and EU/UK spend earn only 10–25% of the already-low base rate
  • High 3.69% monthly interest rate (44.28% p.a.)
  • 1.99% foreign-transaction fee plus a ~1.15% network fee on non-⃃ spend

Yajool Editor’s Rating ?Card Rating is based on the opinion of Yajool’s editors and is not influenced by the card issuer.3.8 / 5Go to review

Our take: The best ENBD card for Priority clients who make large transactions — 5% back on ⃃ 5,000+ purchases plus beach club and gym access — but statement caps and the 1% floor on everyday categories keep real-world returns well below the headline.

Heads up: Requires an existing Priority Banking relationship. The 5% only applies to transactions of ⃃ 5,000+, earning is capped at 5,000 points per statement and 60,000 a year, and the ⃃ 5,000 quarterly cashback is a prize draw, not a rebate.

  • Concierge: Local courier service, 12 times a yearComplimentary local courier service within the UAE, up to 12 times a year.

Why we chose it

What makes it strong

For Priority Banking clients this is ENBD's most interesting non-co-brand card. The tiered earn structure rewards exactly how wealthier households spend — single transactions of ⃃ 5,000+ return 5% as never-expiring Plus Points, redeemable instantly at POS, against miles or as cashback. Layer on beach club and gym access, free golf, monthly valet parking and airport transfers, and the first-year-free proposition is easy to say yes to.

What to watch

Read the caps before celebrating: 5,000 points per statement and 60,000 a year mean the 5% rate saturates at roughly ⃃ 100,000 of top-tier spend per statement in theory but far less in practice, and everyday categories crawl at 1% with a 1,000-point cap. The ⃃ 5,000 quarterly cashback is a raffle, not a rebate. As a perks-plus-rewards package for big-ticket spenders it clearly beats the standard Visa Infinite; just don't expect the headline 5% on your whole statement.

Pros

  • Up to 5% as Plus Points on big-ticket transactions — among the highest headline rates in the UAE
  • First year free, and Plus Points on this card never expire
  • Genuine lifestyle package: beach clubs, gyms, free golf, 4 valet parkings a month and 4 airport transfers a year
  • Flexible redemption: instant at POS, against airline miles or as cashback
  • 3.25% monthly interest, lower than ENBD's entry cards

Cons

  • Exclusive to existing Priority Banking customers — you can't just apply on salary
  • The 5% rate only applies to single transactions of ⃃ 5,000+; below ⃃ 2,500 you earn 1%
  • Tight caps: 5,000 points per statement and 60,000 points a year, with essentials capped at 1,000 points
  • Supermarkets, fuel, utilities, education, government and telecom all earn a flat 1%
  • ⃃ 1,575 annual fee from year two, and the ⃃ 5,000 quarterly cashback is a lucky draw, not a guarantee

  • Concierge + 24/7 roadside assistanceConcierge desk plus 24/7 roadside assistance, listed among the card's Emirates NBD advantages.

Why we chose it

What makes it strong

If your food, groceries-on-demand and online shopping already run through noon's apps, this card pays you unusually well for it: 20% back on noon Food, 10% on NowNow and 5% everywhere else in the noon universe, with a free noon One membership, a 15% noon Minutes discount and an ⃃ 500 welcome bonus — all on a card that costs nothing and needs only an ⃃ 5,000 salary.

What to watch

Outside the noon ecosystem it is a weak card: 1% base earn, 0.30% on groceries, utilities and most household categories, no lounge or travel perks, and credits that can only ever be spent on noon. The 2,000-credit cycle cap also means heavy noon Food spenders hit the ceiling at around ⃃ 10,000 of orders a month. Keep it as the noon card in your wallet, pair it with a cashback or travel card for everything else, and never carry a balance at 3.69% a month.

Pros

  • No annual fee, ever, at an accessible ⃃ 5,000 salary
  • 20% back on noon Food, 10% on NowNow and 5% across noon, noon Minutes, Namshi and supermall
  • ⃃ 500 cashback welcome bonus on ⃃ 5,000 spend in the first two months
  • Free noon One membership for a year (then 50% off) plus 15% off noon Minutes orders

  • Credits are only spendable on noon platforms — not cash in your pocket
  • Weak 1% base rate, cut to 0.30% on groceries, utilities, education, telecom and other penalty categories

Our take: A perfectly reasonable free card whose real product is the Bon Appétit dining discount — up to 30% at 2,000+ restaurants — because the Plus Points earn rates won't move the needle.

Heads up: The rewards are thin: 1.5 points per ⃃ 100 with 0.4% at supermarkets and 0.2% on fuel and bills, there's no lounge access, and the fee waiver is a current offer, not a promise.

  • Foreign fees: 1.99%
  • LiveWell: up to 50% off health & fitnessUp to 50% discount on health and fitness through the LiveWell programme.

Why we chose it

What makes it strong

The Visa Platinum is ENBD's everyday free card, and its honest pitch is lifestyle discounts rather than rewards: up to 30% off at more than 2,000 restaurants through Bon Appétit and up to 50% off health and fitness via LiveWell. For a card with no annual fee under the current offer and a ⃃ 12,000 salary bar, that dining programme alone can be worth hundreds of ⃃ a year to someone who eats out weekly.

What to watch

Treat the Plus Points as a rounding error — 1.5 per ⃃ 100 on retail with 0.4%/0.2% penalty buckets on essentials — and note there's no lounge access or welcome bonus. If you'll carry a balance, the 3.69% monthly rate in the price guide is a reason to look elsewhere; if you pay in full and love restaurants, this is a sensible zero-cost keeper.

Pros

  • No annual fee under the bank's current offer
  • Bon Appétit dining discounts — up to 30% at over 2,000 UAE restaurants — on a free card
  • Up to 50% off health and fitness via LiveWell
  • Purchase protection and extended warranty included
  • Accessible ⃃ 12,000 salary requirement

Our take: A genuinely rich Emiratis-only package: 300,000 welcome TouchPoints, a metal card, lounge, gym and cinema perks, and ADCB's lowest card interest rate — but the ⃃ 2,100 fee never goes away and everyday categories earn a fraction of the headline rate.

Heads up: Open to UAE nationals only, and the 'up to 3 TouchPoints per ⃃' headline drops to 0.7 at supermarkets and fast food and 0.35 on fuel, telecom and government payments — while the ⃃ 2,100 annual fee applies from year one with no waiver.

  • Mastercard World Elite ConciergeLuxury lifestyle experts for travel planning, restaurant reservations and access to sold-out shows and events.

Why we chose it

What makes it strong

For Emiratis, the Betaqti is one of the most complete lifestyle packages on the market at its salary bar: a laser-etched metal World Elite card from ⃃ 10,000 monthly income, a 300,000-TouchPoints welcome bonus, four VOX buy-one-get-one tickets a month including the THEATRE experience, unlimited Caribou coffee BOGO, UFC Gym access, 14 lounge visits and six Careem airport transfers a year. The 2.50% monthly interest rate — ADCB's lowest — and the 80% cash advance limit add real financial flexibility that most premium cards don't offer.

What to watch

The economics reward heavy, well-aimed spending. General retail earns up to 3 TouchPoints per ⃃ (roughly 1.8% back by ADCB's own valuation), but supermarkets, fast food, fuel, telecom and government payments earn a fraction of that, and the headline anniversary bonus needs ⃃ 250,000+ of annual spend plus next year's ⃃ 2,100 fee paid before it lands. If your spending is mostly in the de-rated everyday categories, a free cashback card will out-earn it — the Betaqti earns its fee on status, perks and the welcome bonus, not on groceries.

Pros

  • 300,000 TouchPoints welcome bonus — roughly ⃃ 1,800 of value by ADCB's own benchmark
  • Anniversary gift of up to 750,000 TouchPoints a year for high spenders
  • 2.50% monthly retail interest rate, below ADCB's standard 3.25%
  • Metal laser-etched card with 14 lounge visits, 6 Careem airport rides and UFC Gym access
  • Four VOX buy-one-get-one tickets a month including THEATRE, plus unlimited Caribou BOGO
  • Accessible ⃃ 10,000 minimum salary for a World Elite card

Cons

  • Exclusively for UAE nationals — residents and expats cannot apply
  • ⃃ 2,100 annual fee with no first-year waiver, and ⃃ 1,050 per supplementary card
  • 2.99% foreign currency fee on non-⃃ spend
  • Everyday categories are heavily de-rated: 0.7 points at supermarkets and fast food, 0.35 on fuel, telecom and government payments

Our take: The strongest Skywards card Emirates Islamic makes, and the Islamic answer to the big conventional Emirates co-brands: unmatched earn rates, Silver for life and a workable path to Gold — if you clear the ⃃ 50,000 income bar and actually fly Emirates enough to feed it.

Heads up: The Gold fast track is really an ⃃ 5,775-a-year proposition (⃃ 2,100 card fee + ⃃ 3,675 Gold Tier fee) and still needs USD 5,000 of direct Emirates spend in 12 months. Skip Gold and the card costs ⃃ 2,100 — but then its edge over the Skywards Infinite narrows.

Why we chose it

What makes it strong

This is the card the rest of the EI Skywards range feeds up to, and on pure Emirates economics it delivers: 3.5 Miles per USD 1 on Emirates is as good as the UAE market gets, Silver tier lasts as long as the card, the FX fee (2.30%) and profit rate (3.25%) are the lowest in EI's lineup, and the 100,000-mile welcome offer is genuinely valuable. For the observant Emirates loyalist who wants all of this in a Sharia-compliant murabaha structure, there is no direct substitute.

What to watch

But read the price tag carefully. The ⃃ 2,100 base fee only buys the earn rates and Silver; the Gold Tier story costs ⃃ 3,675 more per year plus USD 5,000 of direct Emirates spend within 12 months — and Gold resets annually. Nearly every lifestyle perk carries a monthly spend gate, and the ⃃ 50,000 income requirement makes this a genuinely exclusive product. If you can't feed those thresholds comfortably, the Skywards Infinite keeps most of the travel experience at a fraction of the cost.

Pros

  • Best Skywards earn rates in the EI lineup: 3.5 Miles per USD 1 on Emirates, 2 on international, 1.5 domestic
  • Skywards Silver for as long as the card is active, plus a fast track to Gold Tier
  • Lowest profit rate (3.25%/month) and FX fee (2.30%) among EI credit cards
  • Up to 100,000 bonus Miles, 4 airport transfers, unlimited golf and lounge access with a guest
  • Sharia-compliant murabaha structure with a genuine metal card

Cons

  • ⃃ 50,000 minimum monthly income keeps it out of most applicants' reach
  • The headline Gold fast track effectively costs ⃃ 5,775 a year plus USD 5,000 of Emirates spend within 12 months
  • Lounge visits beyond 2 a year and most lifestyle perks hinge on monthly spend conditions (⃃ 5,000–10,000)
  • Groceries, government, fuel, telecom and QSR spend earn only 0.3 Miles per USD 1, and EEA/UK spend drops to 0.75
  • Missing the minimum payment triggers an ⃃ 131.25 monthly charity donation charge

Yajool Editor’s Rating ?Card Rating is based on the opinion of Yajool’s editors and is not influenced by the card issuer.3.8 / 5Go to review

Our take: The sweet spot of EI's Skywards range: real Visa Infinite travel privileges, Silver tier and a fee that can stay waived year after year if your spend is high enough — you just accept softer earn rates than the Black and a punchy profit rate if you ever carry a balance.

Heads up: The fee waiver does real work here, but mind the conditions: the AMF is charged upfront and only reversed after ⃃ 30,000 of spend in 180 days, choosing the waiver forfeits any welcome bonus miles, and from year two you need ⃃ 150,000 annual spend to keep dodging the fee.

Why we chose it

What makes it strong

For most Emirates flyers who want an Islamic card, this is the EI Skywards card to actually get. The travel kit is the same shape as the Black's — 1,200+ lounges with a guest, unlimited golf, valet, Marhaba meet & greet, 90-day travel takaful, Silver tier — and the fee mechanics are friendlier than they look: spend ⃃ 30,000 in the first 180 days and the first-year fee comes back, spend ⃃ 150,000 a year and it stays away. Miles go straight to Skywards with no intermediate portal, and 2 Miles per USD on Emirates is solid for the fee bracket.

What to watch

The trade-offs are earn-rate depth and borrowing cost. Everyday domestic spend earns 1 Mile per USD, groceries half of that, and the penalty categories plus the 0.375 EEA/UK rate cut real-world returns; the 2.54% FX fee also eats into miles earned abroad. At 3.69% a month, revolving a balance would wipe out years of miles value. Pay in full, feed it ⃃ 12,500 a month, and it's one of the best Islamic travel cards in the market; spend less and the Skywards Signature at a third of the fee is the more honest fit.

Pros

  • Current offer reverses the first-year fee if you spend ⃃ 30,000 in 180 days, and year two is waived at ⃃ 150,000 annual spend
  • Complimentary Skywards Silver for 12 months — bonus Tier Miles, extra baggage and priority check-in
  • 2 Miles per USD 1 on Emirates and flydubai with miles landing straight in your Skywards account
  • Genuine Visa Infinite perks: 1,200+ lounges with a guest, unlimited golf, valet, concierge and 90-day travel takaful
  • Sharia-compliant murabaha structure with up to 4 supplementary cards at no annual fee

Cons

  • 3.69% monthly profit rate (44.28% APR) — higher than the Black card's, and expensive if you revolve
  • 2.54% foreign-currency fee plus the ~1.15% network fee stings for a travel card
  • Groceries earn half rate and government, fuel, telecom and bills drop to 0.15–0.25 Miles per USD 1; EEA/UK spend earns just 0.375
  • Taking the first-year fee waiver means no welcome bonus miles
  • Keeping Silver after year one needs USD 2,500 of direct Emirates flight spend a year, and lounge visits beyond 2 a year require the USD 1 FX-spend trick

Why we chose it

What makes it strong

For anyone who already pays for Amazon Prime and shops Amazon.ae weekly, this is close to a no-brainer: 6% back with no cap, a card that never charges an annual fee, and points that are trivially easy to use because 1 point is simply ⃃ 1 off at checkout. The 2.5% on international spend (outside the UK/EEA) is quietly one of the better FX earn rates on a free UAE card — though the 2.34% foreign-currency fee claws most of that back.

What to watch

The catches are real: without Prime the card halves in value, everyday categories like fuel, supermarkets and utilities earn a token 0.25%, points are locked to Amazon.ae, and there is no Apple Pay. Treat it as a specialist card for Amazon and international spend, pair it with a grocery/fuel earner, and pay the balance in full — the 3.69% monthly profit rate is as punishing as any conventional card's interest.

Pros

  • No annual fee, ever — free for life
  • Up to 6% back on Amazon.ae with Prime, with no monthly points cap
  • Solid 2.5% on international spend outside the UK/EEA
  • Simple rewards: 1 point = ⃃ 1 off at Amazon.ae checkout, valid 5 years
  • 8 lounge visits a year plus golf, valet, cinema and Carrefour perks

Cons

  • Apple Pay is not supported
  • Earn rates drop sharply without Prime — 3% on Amazon, 1% international
  • Fuel, supermarkets, government, utilities and education earn just 0.25%
  • Points can only be spent on Amazon.ae — no cashback, transfers or travel redemptions
  • 2.34% foreign-currency fee (plus a ~1.15% scheme fee) eats into the 2.5% international earn

Our take: For UAE nationals this is close to a free lunch: no fee, up to 3.75% value back, unlimited lounge access, valet, talabat and cinema perks, plus a ⃃ 1,500 welcome bonus. The penalty categories and weak transfer ratios are the only real drags.

Heads up: UAE nationals only. The headline 3.75% applies to international spend — supermarkets earn 1 SmartMile per ⃃ 1, and fuel, utilities, education, government and telecom just 0.12. The 150,000-mile welcome bonus needs ⃃ 30,000 spend in 60 days and runs until 31 August 2026.

Why we chose it

What makes it strong

Emirates Islamic clearly built the Emarati Card to be the default card in a UAE national's wallet, and the maths backs it up: zero annual fee, 2.5 SmartMiles per ⃃ at home and 3.75 abroad (roughly 2.5–3.75% in value), a welcome bonus worth ⃃ 1,500, and a lifestyle stack — unlimited lounge access, two valets a month, 50% off talabat twice a month, BOGO cinema tickets, Sharjah Ladies Club — that paid premium cards would be proud of. Even the fee schedule is friendlier: 2.30% FX and 3.59% monthly profit versus 2.54% and 3.69% on sister cards.

What to watch

The weaknesses are the classic UAE penalty grid — supermarkets at 1 SmartMile per ⃃, and fuel, utilities, education, government and telecom at a near-zero 0.12 — plus transfer ratios that make SmartMiles best spent through Instant Purchase or the travel portal rather than converted to airline miles. If you qualify, there is no reason not to hold it; the only question is whether a dedicated grocery or fuel card should sit beside it.

Pros

  • No annual membership fee with a genuinely premium benefits stack
  • Strong earn: 3.75 SmartMiles per ⃃ 1 abroad, 2.5 at home — roughly 2.5–3.75% value back
  • Up to 150,000 SmartMiles (⃃ 1,500) welcome bonus on ⃃ 30,000 spend in 60 days
  • Lower-than-usual 2.30% FX fee and 3.59% profit rate versus 2.54%/3.69% on sister cards
  • Flexible redemption: 7 transfer partners, 300+ airlines, Instant Purchase statement credit

Cons

  • UAE nationals only — residents and expats cannot apply
  • Supermarkets earn just 1 SmartMile per ⃃ 1, and fuel, education, government, utilities and telecom drop to 0.12
  • EEA and UK spends earn almost nothing (0.33 SmartMiles per ⃃ 1)
  • SmartMiles transfer ratios are weak (10,000 → 1,000 Skywards Miles)
  • The lounge programme, visit terms and minimum salary are not published

Our take: Emirates Islamic's strongest all-round premium card: up to 3.75% back in flexible SmartMiles, a welcome offer that can fully refund the fee, and real travel perks — unlimited lounges with a guest, golf and valet. The 'up to' earn categories and FX cost are the caveats.

Heads up: The 3.75x rate is international only and 'up to' — reduced categories earn far less, the 2.54% + ~1.15% FX cost offsets most of the abroad earn, and the ⃃ 735 fee renews every year whether or not you use the perks.

Why we chose it

What makes it strong

The Flex Elite is the card the Flex grows up into: the same uniquely flexible SmartMiles (a flat 1 fils each against any purchase, no blackout dates) at double-or-better earn rates — up to 2.5% back domestic, 3.75% international. The welcome structure is unusually honest value: 75,000 miles for paying the ⃃ 735 fee is a near-full refund on its own, and the 100,000-mile spend bonus stacks another ⃃ 1,000 on top. Add genuinely premium extras — unlimited lounges with a guest, unlimited golf, valet, concierge, multi-trip travel takaful — and the fee looks well covered for anyone who travels.

What to watch

The caveats are the same ones that haunt the whole Flex family: 'up to' rates mean fuel, telecom, education and government payments earn quietly less, and the 2.54% + ~1.15% foreign-transaction cost eats most of the 3.75x advantage abroad — earn the miles at home, spend them anywhere. The bank also doesn't publish a minimum salary for this card, so confirm eligibility before you plan around it. If you'd rather pay nothing and accept lower rates, the free Flex keeps most of the redemption magic.

Pros

  • Up to 2.5% back domestic and 3.75% international at Instant Purchase value — among the strongest earn rates on a UAE Islamic card
  • 75,000-SmartMile bonus (worth ⃃ 750) on fee payment effectively refunds the ⃃ 735 annual fee in year one

  • Unlimited lounge access to 1,200+ lounges for you and a guest, plus unlimited golf and 2 valet parkings a month
  • Redemption flexibility: statement credit against anything, travel from 4,000 miles, or 8 transfer partners

Cons

  • Headline rates are 'up to' — government, automobile, takaful, education, fuel, telecom and real-estate spends earn reduced, unpublished rates
  • 2.54% foreign-currency fee plus a ~1.15% network fee claws back most of the 3.75x international headline
  • ⃃ 735 annual fee every year — the fee-payment bonus only offsets it if you actually redeem
  • Weak transfer ratios (10,000 SmartMiles = 1,000 Skywards Miles) — Instant Purchase is usually the better value
  • 3.69% monthly profit rate (44.28% APR) if you don't pay in full, and minimum salary isn't published

Our take: The most flexible cashback card in the Islamic segment: honest accelerated rates you can re-point at travel any month, with a fee that disappears at ⃃ 30,000 a year.

Heads up: You earn nothing in months below ⃃ 2,500 spend, category caps are ⃃ 100–200/month, and foreign spends carry a 2.54% + ~1.15% FX cost.

Why we chose it

What makes it strong

The Switch Cashback Card fixes the classic cashback-card dilemma — do you optimise for daily life or for travel? — by simply letting you toggle between the two in the app, month by month. In the Lifestyle plan the rates are genuinely useful for a UAE household: 8% on fuel, 4% on supermarkets, dining and school fees. Flip to Travel in a month you fly and airlines and hotels earn 4% instead. Add a free first year, a fee waiver at ⃃ 30,000 a year, and a real Visa Signature perk set (lounges, golf, valet, Marhaba, travel takaful), and this is one of the strongest Islamic cashback propositions in the market.

What to watch

The fine print is where the value shrinks: nothing is earned below ⃃ 2,500 of monthly spend, the accelerated categories cap out at ⃃ 100–200 each, and utilities and government payments earn a token 0.5%. Realistically you're looking at ⃃ 500–700 of cashback a month only if your spending maps neatly onto the capped categories — most people will earn far less. Use it as a disciplined everyday card in the Lifestyle plan, switch before a holiday, and pay in ⃃ abroad only if you must: the 2.54% FX fee eats the 4% travel rate quickly.

Pros

  • 8% on fuel and 4% on supermarkets, dining and education is a strong Lifestyle mix for everyday UAE spending
  • You can switch to a Travel plan (4% airlines, hotels, dining) in-app any month — no other UAE cashback card does this
  • First year free, and the ⃃ 313.95 renewal fee is waived at a realistic ⃃ 30,000 annual spend
  • Genuine Visa Signature perks: lounges, two golf rounds a month, valet, Marhaba meet & greet and multi-trip travel takaful
  • Flexible redemption from ⃃ 300 — statement credit, miles exchange, vouchers, flights and hotels

Cons

  • Nothing is earned in a month where posted spend is below ⃃ 2,500
  • Category caps are tight: ⃃ 200 per category and only ⃃ 100 on the 8% fuel rate — the 8% headline maxes out at ⃃ 1,250 of fuel
  • Utilities, telecom, real estate and government payments earn just 0.5%
  • 2.54% foreign-currency fee (plus the ~1.15% network fee) makes it a poor card to spend abroad, even on the Travel plan
  • Most lifestyle perks carry monthly minimum-spend conditions (⃃ 3,000–5,000) and are billed if you miss them

Our take: The same 6% Amazon earn engine as the World card at an ⃃ 5,000 income bar — you lose golf, valet and travel insurance, but the core free-for-life value is untouched.

Heads up: Headline rates assume Amazon Prime — without it Amazon spend earns just 3%. Apple Pay is not supported, and points can only be redeemed on Amazon.ae.

Why we chose it

What makes it strong

Emirates Islamic did something unusual here: the Platinum tier keeps the exact same reward table as the World card — 6% on Amazon.ae with Prime, 2.5% international, up to 2% domestic — while dropping the income bar to ⃃ 5,000. Since both cards are free for life, the Platinum is arguably the better deal per ⃃ of salary; what you give up is the perk stack, not the earning.

What to watch

The trade-offs mirror the World card: rates halve without Prime, everyday categories earn a token 0.25%, points only work on Amazon.ae, and there is no Apple Pay. Lounge access shrinks to 4 visits at 20+ lounges and the travel insurance disappears, but you do keep purchase protection. For an Amazon regular on a mid-range salary, it is one of the strongest free cards in the UAE — just pay in full, because the 3.69% monthly profit rate is steep.

Pros

  • No annual fee, ever — free for life
  • Identical 6% Amazon and 2.5% international earn rates to the pricier World variant
  • Accessible ⃃ 5,000 income requirement
  • Simple rewards: 1 point = ⃃ 1 off at Amazon.ae checkout, valid 5 years
  • Purchase protection up to USD 2,000 per claim for 180 days

  • Only 4 lounge visits at 20+ lounges, and no golf, valet or travel insurance like the World card

Yajool Editor’s Rating ?Card Rating is based on the opinion of Yajool’s editors and is not influenced by the card issuer.3.5 / 5Go to review

Our take: A family-essentials cashback card whose 10% headline is real but gated: you need serious total monthly spend to unlock the top tier, and each category caps at ⃃ 200.

Heads up: The 10% rate needs ⃃ 17,500+ total monthly spend — most cardholders will sit in the 3% or 5% tier — and each category caps at ⃃ 200/month.

Why we chose it

What makes it strong

Cashback Plus targets the four lines that dominate a UAE family budget — groceries, school fees, restaurants and phone bills — and pays up to 10% on all of them, at home and abroad. The perk set is unusually rich for a card costing ⃃ 313.95: unlimited lounges with a guest, two golf rounds and two valet services a month, 50% movie-ticket cashback, Sharjah Ladies Club, and Dubai-commuter extras like Salik auto top-up and metro Gold Class access.

What to watch

The catch is the tier ladder. The 10% rate only switches on at ⃃ 17,500 of total monthly spend; between ⃃ 3,000 and 9,999 you earn just 3%, and below ⃃ 3,000 nothing at all. With the ⃃ 200 per-category caps, even a maxed-out month yields ⃃ 800. Households consistently spending ⃃ 10,000+ a month will do well here; lighter spenders should look at a flat-rate cashback card instead, because the headline number will rarely be the rate they actually get.

Pros

  • 10% on groceries, school fees, dining and telecom is among the highest category rates in the UAE — and works abroad too
  • The four bonus categories are exactly where UAE family budgets go
  • Unlimited lounge access with a guest, golf, valet, movie cashback and Sharjah Ladies Club — a big perk set for a mid-fee card
  • Salik auto top-up and metro Gold Class are genuinely useful Dubai commuter extras
  • Simple redemption: 1 point = ⃃ 1, redeemed in-app in seconds

Cons

  • The 10% rate needs ⃃ 17,500+ of TOTAL monthly spend — at ⃃ 3,000–9,999 you only earn 3%
  • ⃃ 200 monthly cap per category limits maximum cashback to ⃃ 800 a month
  • Spending below ⃃ 3,000 in a month earns nothing at all
  • No published rate on spending outside the four bonus categories
  • Most lifestyle perks (golf, valet, movies, meet & greet) require ⃃ 5,000 monthly spend

Heads up: Every lifestyle perk needs ⃃ 8,000+ monthly spend to stay free, lounge visits after the first need prior foreign-currency spend (else USD 32), and the 5% categories are capped at ~⃃ 100 of value each per month.

Why we chose it

What makes it strong

The SHAMS Infinite is DIB's answer to the do-everything premium card, and on paper it's one of the best-value packages in the UAE: 5% back on dining and travel, a ~1.75% base rate, 12 lounge visits with a guest, and a golf-valet-fitness-Costa perk set that rivals cards charging ⃃ 1,500+ — all on a card that costs nothing in year one and stays free at ⃃ 60,000 annual spend.

What to watch

The catch is that almost everything is conditional. The lifestyle perks switch off in any month you spend under ⃃ 8,000, lounge entries after the first need pre-planned foreign-currency spend, and the 5% categories cap out around ⃃ 100 of value each per month. Spend ⃃ 8,000–10,000 a month with real dining and travel in the mix and this is arguably the strongest Islamic card in the market; spend less and you'll be paying provider fees for perks you thought were free.

Pros

  • Genuine 5% back on dining and travel — among the strongest category rates in the UAE
  • Effectively free for life: no first-year fee, waived after that at ⃃ 60,000 annual spend
  • Unusually broad perks for a fee-waivable card: golf, Fitness First, valet, Costa BOGO, airport transfers, lounge
  • Solid base earn — 3.5 Wala'a per ⃃ 1 on domestic spend (roughly 1.75% at the bank's valuation)
  • Fully Sharia-compliant Salam structure with late payment handled as a charity donation, not bank income

Cons

  • The headline perks (golf, fitness, valet, Costa, transfers) all require ⃃ 8,000+ retail spend that month
  • Lounge visits after the first each year need prior foreign-currency spend — otherwise USD 32 per entry
  • 5% dining and travel are each capped at 20,000 Wala'a a month (~⃃ 100 of value)
  • 3.70% international usage fee is high — the 4x international earn doesn't cover it
  • Government, groceries, utilities, fuel and similar categories earn just 0.6 Wala'a per ⃃ 1
  • DIB doesn't publish a minimum salary for this card — eligibility is only confirmed at application
