Rewards rate
"Solitaire's perk list is the most complete at Mashreq — golf, valet, limo transfers, Marhaba and an actual unlimited gym membership. But treat the 10,000 monthly spend gate as the real price of the card: clear it every month and the 1,575 fee looks cheap; miss it and you're paying premium fees for perks that bill back to your card."
Earning and redeeming Mashreq Vantage points
Solitaire earns Mashreq Vantage points (formerly Salaam Rewards) with a travel-first structure: 6 points per on international purchases, 4 points per on airlines, hotels and other travel, 2 points per on other UAE spends and 0.5 points on government payments, utilities, fuel, education, charity, rent and telecom. Bill payments via Mashreq's app or online banking earn nothing.
Points redeem instantly in the Mashreq Mobile App — or at the till at partner merchants — for airmiles, gift cards or cashback. Mashreq doesn't publish a fixed value per point, so check the cashback conversion rate in the app before assuming the 6x international rate beats a simple cashback card, especially since a 2.89% foreign-currency markup applies to those same international purchases.

Pros and cons
- Genuinely broad premium perks: golf at 5 clubs, valet, 6 airport transfers, Marhaba meet & greet and unlimited Fitness First
- Strong 6 points per on international spend and 4 on airlines, hotels and travel
- 2,500 welcome bonus for new Mashreq customers
- 12 lounge visits a year with one complimentary guest, extended to supplementary cardholders
- 8 half-price cinema tickets a month at VOX, Reel and Novo with no minimum spend
- Nearly every perk (except cinema and lounge) needs 10,000 spend in the previous statement month
- 1,575 annual fee with no first-year waiver, and supplementary cards cost 630
- 25,000 minimum monthly income shuts out most applicants
- 2.89% foreign-currency markup undercuts the 6x international earn rate
- Domestic earn drops to 2 points per — and 0.5 on fuel, utilities, rent and government payments
Is it right for you?
Get this card if
- You consistently put 10,000+ a month on your card and will use the golf, valet and transfer perks
- You earn 25,000+ a month and want one card covering gym, lounges and airport logistics
- A large share of your spend is international or travel, where 6x and 4x rates apply
- You're new to Mashreq — the 2,500 welcome bonus alone exceeds the first year's fee
Consider skipping it if
- Your statement regularly lands under 10,000 — most perks will bill back to your card
- You want a fee waiver — the 1,575 fee applies from year one
- Your spend is mostly domestic essentials: 2 points per locally and 0.5 on fuel and utilities is weak
- You'd get more from simple cashback than from gated lifestyle perks
