Our take: The best Etihad Guest earn rate on an Islamic card in the UAE, with genuinely premium travel perks — but the ⃃ 3,000 + VAT fee and the covered-card deposit model mean it's built for committed Etihad flyers, not casual ones.

Heads up: The annual fee is ⃃ 3,000 + VAT with no waiver, and as a covered card your limit must be secured up front. The up to 325,000-mile combined welcome offer has no published breakdown — confirm the tiers before you apply.

Why we chose it

What makes it strong

For Etihad loyalists who want to stay Sharia-compliant, this is the flagship: 3.5 miles per ⃃ 4 on Etihad and foreign spend is among the strongest co-brand rates in the UAE, and the perks are the real premium set — unlimited lounge access with a guest, two airport transfers, monthly golf, home check-in, and companion-ticket and upgrade vouchers once your spend crosses ⃃ 150,000 and ⃃ 350,000. Complimentary Silver status plus Tier Miles on card spend keep your Etihad Guest tier alive between flights.

What to watch

The costs need equally clear eyes. ⃃ 3,000 + VAT a year is never waived, non-⃃ spend carries a 2.3% service fee, and the covered-card structure means your limit is secured by a deposit or a 10-year Murabaha arrangement — a different commitment from a conventional credit card. The headline welcome offer stacks 'up to' 100,000 and 225,000 miles with no published breakdown, so treat it as a question for the sales desk, not a guarantee. If Etihad is your default airline and ⃃ 150,000 a year flows through your card, the maths works; if not, ADIB's cheaper Etihad tiers cover the basics for less.

Pros

  • Strongest ADIB Etihad earn rate — 3.5 miles per ⃃ 4 (0.875/⃃) on Etihad Airways and foreign-currency spend, 2.5 per ⃃ 4 locally
  • Unlimited lounge access for you plus a guest via Visa Airport Companion (1,000+ lounges)
  • Companion ticket at ⃃ 150,000 yearly spend and a class-upgrade voucher at ⃃ 350,000 — any Etihad destination
  • Complimentary Etihad Guest Silver, a Gold fast track, and 1 Tier Mile per ⃃ 4 (up to 50,000/year) from card spend
  • Fully Sharia-compliant covered card with no interest — Murabaha structure with a published 3.75% monthly profit rate

Cons

  • ⃃ 3,000 annual fee plus 5% VAT (⃃ 3,150 all-in), never waived
  • It's a covered card — your spending limit must be secured by a cash cover deposit or a Murabaha arrangement with the bank
  • 2.3% service fee on non-⃃ transactions, on top of the Visa exchange rate and network fee
  • Supermarkets, fuel, utilities, education and other 'specific merchants' earn only 1 mile per ⃃ 4
  • The welcome offer is 'up to' 100,000 + 225,000 miles — ADIB doesn't publish the tier breakdown on the card page

Our take: The strongest Etihad earner in the UAE short of the invite-tier Limitless — but the ⃃ 2,625 entry price only makes sense if Etihad is your default airline.

Heads up: Joining costs ⃃ 2,625 and renewal ⃃ 1,575 with no waiver, and the 200,000-mile welcome offer is "up to" — the tier breakdown isn't published. Groceries, fuel and utilities earn almost nothing.

Why we chose it

What makes it strong

If Etihad is your airline, the Elevate is built to keep you inside its ecosystem: a full mile per ⃃ on Etihad, hotels and dining, a Gold fast track after one return flight, Tier Miles that accrue while you shop, and a 50%-off award voucher every ⃃ 150,000 of spend. That combination — status, miles and cheaper redemptions — is something no generic travel card matches for Etihad flyers.

What to watch

The costs are just as concrete: ⃃ 2,625 to join, ⃃ 1,575 a year thereafter, an ⃃ 30,000 salary floor, and near-zero earning on groceries, fuel and utilities. The 'up to 200,000 miles' welcome offer needs scrutiny at application, since the bank doesn't publish the breakdown. Fly Etihad a few times a year and route travel and dining through it, and the maths works; otherwise the free-for-life alternatives are the smarter home for your daily spend.

Pros

  • Strong earn for an airline card — 1 mile per ⃃ 1 on Etihad, hotels and dining, 0.6 on general spend
  • Fast track to Etihad Guest Gold (50% bonus miles, extra baggage, priority check-in) after a single return flight
  • Up to 200,000 Etihad Guest Miles as a welcome offer
  • 50% miles-discount voucher every ⃃ 150,000 of spend cuts award-flight costs in half
  • Tier Miles on card spend (up to 50,000 a year) keep your status alive without flying

Cons

  • ⃃ 2,625 joining fee, then ⃃ 1,575 every year — steep and never waived
  • ⃃ 30,000 minimum salary puts it out of most applicants' reach
  • Groceries, fuel, utilities and other penalty categories earn 0.06–0.15 miles per ⃃ 1
  • The 200,000-mile welcome offer is 'up to' — the bank doesn't publish the tier breakdown

Our take: The affordable door into Etihad Guest — decent flight and dining earn with a Silver fast track, but the joining fee and weak everyday rates ask for commitment.

Heads up: The joining fee is ⃃ 1,575 (then ⃃ 735/year), the price guide lists 3.69% monthly interest despite the page's 3.25% claim, and everyday penalty categories earn 0.04–0.15 miles per ⃃ 1.

Why we chose it

What makes it strong

The Inspire is the entry ticket to Etihad's credit-card ecosystem: at an ⃃ 12,000 salary you get 0.7 miles per ⃃ on Etihad, hotels and dining, a Silver fast track after a single return flight, lounge access through Visa Airport Companion, and a 25%-off award voucher every ⃃ 100,000 of spend. For an Abu Dhabi-based Etihad flyer who can't reach the Elevate's ⃃ 30,000 salary bar, there is no closer substitute.

What to watch

Be clear-eyed about the costs. ⃃ 1,575 to join and ⃃ 735 a year is a lot for mid-tier earn rates, the price guide puts interest at 3.69% a month, and everyday categories — groceries, fuel, utilities — earn almost nothing. If you fly Etihad once a year or less, a free-for-life travel card will serve you better; if you fly them regularly, the Silver perks and voucher can cover the fee.

Pros

  • Etihad co-brand perks at an ⃃ 12,000 salary — the accessible entry into the Etihad Guest ecosystem
  • 0.7 miles per ⃃ 1 on Etihad, hotels and dining, 0.4 on general spend
  • Fast track to Etihad Guest Silver (25% bonus miles, 10kg extra baggage) after one return flight
  • Lounge access via Visa Airport Companion at more than 1,000 lounges
  • 25% miles-discount voucher every ⃃ 100,000 of spend

Cons

  • ⃃ 1,575 joining fee and ⃃ 735 a year is real money for a mid-tier card
  • 3.69% monthly interest (44.28% p.a.) per the bank's price guide — despite the page's 3.25% claim
  • Groceries, fuel, utilities and other penalty categories earn 0.04–0.15 miles per ⃃ 1
  • The 60,000-mile welcome offer is 'up to' — only a 20,000-mile tranche on fee payment is documented
  • No Express Miles booster — that is reserved for the Elevate and Limitless tiers

Why we chose it

What makes it strong

The Platinum is the sensible middle of ADIB's Etihad range. The perks that actually move the needle for an Etihad flyer — the any-destination companion ticket at ⃃ 150,000 of spend and the Gold fast track after two return flights — are identical to the Infinite card, and its Gold fast track is arguably easier: two flights rather than tracked Etihad spend. Earning 2.2 miles per ⃃ 4 at home and 3 abroad is respectable for a ⃃ 2,000 card, and the covered-card structure keeps everything Sharia-compliant.

What to watch

What you lose against the Infinite is comfort rather than substance: 4 LoungeKey visits instead of unlimited lounges with a guest, no airport transfers or golf, and a lower earn rate. What you still pay is real: ⃃ 2,100 all-in each year, a 2.3% fee on foreign spend, and the cover-deposit commitment. If you'll genuinely route ⃃ 150,000 a year through the card, the companion ticket alone can justify the fee; if you won't, the Gold tier at ⃃ 1,000 — or a self-funded variant at ⃃ 700 — is the honest fallback.

Pros

  • Solid earn for the tier — 2.2 miles per ⃃ 4 locally and 3 per ⃃ 4 on international spend
  • The same companion ticket as the Infinite card: any Etihad destination, any cabin, at ⃃ 150,000 annual spend
  • Etihad Guest Gold fast track after just 2 return Etihad flights within 12 months
  • Four LoungeKey visits a year plus valet parking and free roadside assistance
  • Sharia-compliant covered card with no interest — Murabaha structure, 3.75% published monthly profit rate

Cons

  • ⃃ 2,000 annual fee plus 5% VAT (⃃ 2,100 all-in) with no published waiver
  • It's a covered card — the spending limit must be secured by a cash deposit or Murabaha arrangement
  • 2.3% service fee on non-⃃ transactions despite the strong international earn rate
  • Supermarkets, fuel, utilities, education and other 'specific merchants' earn only 1 mile per ⃃ 4

Our take: A budget doorway into Etihad perks: the companion ticket and two lounge visits at the lowest fee in the range — but the earn rate is thin, so the card only makes sense if the ⃃ 150,000 companion-ticket milestone is realistic for you.

Heads up: Local spend earns just 1 mile per ⃃ 4, and the companion ticket needs ⃃ 150,000 a year — without hitting it, the ⃃ 1,000 + VAT fee buys little. The 'up to 100,000' campaign miles have no published breakdown.

Why we chose it

What makes it strong

The Gold card's pitch is a single, unusual perk at an accessible price: the same companion ticket — any Etihad destination, any cabin — that ADIB attaches to its ⃃ 2,000 and ⃃ 3,000 Etihad cards, here for ⃃ 1,000 + VAT. Add 35,000 welcome miles (plus the current campaign), two LoungeKey visits and roadside assistance, and it's a fair bundle for a light traveller who wants to stay Sharia-compliant.

What to watch

Be honest about the engine, though: 1 mile per ⃃ 4 on local spend is a thin earn rate, and the specific-merchants list halves it for supermarkets, fuel, education and utilities. The companion ticket needs ⃃ 150,000 through the card in a year — about ⃃ 12,500 a month — and without reaching it the fee buys mostly the welcome miles. If your spending is bigger, the Platinum doubles the earn rate and eases the Gold-status path for ⃃ 1,000 more; if it's smaller, the ⃃ 350 self-funded variant covers the basics.

Pros

  • The same any-destination, any-cabin Etihad companion ticket as ADIB's premium tiers, at the lowest covered-card fee
  • 35,000 welcome miles plus a campaign of up to 100,000 additional miles until 31 December 2026
  • Two LoungeKey visits a year and free roadside assistance — rare at this fee level
  • Silver fast track after 4 return Etihad flights, and Miles on the Go partner earning via the Etihad Guest app
  • Sharia-compliant covered card with no interest; a self-funded variant exists at ⃃ 350/year

Cons

  • Thin earn rate — 1 mile per ⃃ 4 locally (0.25/⃃) is roughly a third of the Infinite card's rate
  • ⃃ 1,000 + VAT is still a real fee for a card without valet, golf or transfers
  • It's a covered card — the limit must be secured by a cash deposit or Murabaha arrangement
  • Supermarkets, fuel, utilities and education earn just 0.5 miles per ⃃ 4
  • 2.3% service fee on non-⃃ spend eats into the international earn rate

Why we chose it

What makes it strong

For Etihad loyalists this is the card to beat in the Islamic segment. The fee-for-miles trade is unusually transparent: ⃃ 2,625 buys 55,000 Etihad Guest Miles every year you pay it — an effective rate under 5 fils per mile — and the ⃃ 4,500 Etihad-spend Gold fast-track is one of the cheapest published routes to mid-tier airline status in the UAE. Add unlimited lounge access with a guest, four Abu Dhabi airport transfers, and 60% redemption vouchers at high spend, and the frequent-Etihad-flyer case writes itself.

What to watch

The fine print cuts the other way. The welcome miles and the fee waiver are mutually exclusive, the lounge benefit quietly demands a foreign-currency transaction before each visit after the first, and the 60% vouchers need ⃃ 165,000+ of annual spend with three blackout months. At 2.54% + ~1.15% FX cost this is also not the card to swipe abroad despite the '3 Miles international' headline. If your Etihad spend is real, pay the ⃃ 2,500 option and bank the 55,000 miles; if it isn't, the cheaper Saqer, Ameera or Platinum variants — or a Skywards card — will serve you better.

Pros

  • Genuinely fast Gold Tier route — ⃃ 4,500 of Etihad spend beats flying your way to status
  • Strong earn rates: 3.5 Miles/USD on Etihad, up to 3 international and 2 domestic
  • Choose your fee: ⃃ 1,575 for 25,000 miles or ⃃ 2,625 for 55,000 miles, every year the fee is paid
  • Unlimited Visa Airport Companion lounge access including one guest
  • Two 60% Miles-discount vouchers can halve-plus the cost of award flights

Cons

  • ⃃ 2,625 (or ⃃ 1,575) annual fee unless you spend ⃃ 7,500 in 90 days (year 1) or ⃃ 150,000 a year afterwards
  • The welcome miles require actually paying the fee — waive the fee and you forfeit the bonus
  • Lounge visits after the first each year need a token foreign-currency spend 15 days prior, or USD 32 is charged
  • 60% vouchers demand ⃃ 165,000–300,000 of annual spend and carry July/August/December blackouts
  • 2.54% foreign-currency fee plus ~1.15% network fee despite the international earn pitch
  • 3.69% monthly profit rate (44.28% APR) if you revolve a balance

Our take: A well-priced Etihad miles card reserved for Emiratis: 30,000 bonus miles for a ⃃ 943.95 fee, a cheap Silver fast-track, and a genuinely reachable fee waiver at ⃃ 30,000 annual spend.

Heads up: Available exclusively to UAE nationals. The 30,000 welcome miles are paid only when the Annual Membership Fee is paid — take the spend-based waiver and there is no bonus.

Why we chose it

What makes it strong

Saqer is the Emirati-only member of Emirates Islamic's Etihad family, and the value equation is friendlier than the Premium's: ⃃ 943.95 buys 30,000 Etihad Guest Miles each year the fee is paid — about 3 fils per mile — while the Silver fast-track costs just ⃃ 2,000 of Etihad spend and the fee waiver kicks in at a very reachable ⃃ 30,000 of annual spending. Lounge access, two airport transfers, golf, valet and the 50% movie cashback round out a package that comfortably outruns its price for a national who flies Etihad even twice a year.

What to watch

The catches are the same ones that run through this whole card family: bonus miles and fee waiver are mutually exclusive, the lounge fine print demands a token foreign-currency spend before each visit after the first, and the 'up to' domestic rate hides unpublished category reductions. Earn rates trail the Premium (3 vs 3.5 on Etihad, 1.5 vs 2 domestic) and the Tier Miles cap is halved — if your spending justifies a bigger fee, the Premium is the stronger card. But at this price point, for an eligible Emirati, Saqer is one of the better Islamic airline cards in the market.

Pros

  • 30,000-mile welcome bonus against a ⃃ 943.95 fee — roughly 3 fils per mile each year the fee is paid
  • Silver Tier fast-track needs only ⃃ 2,000 of Etihad spend in the first year
  • Fee waivable: first year free with ⃃ 5,000 spend in 90 days, later years with ⃃ 30,000 annual spend
  • Unlimited lounge access to 1,200+ lounges plus 2 Abu Dhabi airport transfers a year
  • Golf, valet, meet & greet and 50% movie cashback at reasonable ⃃ 3,000–5,000 spend gates

Cons

  • Restricted to UAE nationals — expats must look at the Premium, Ameera or Platinum instead
  • Welcome miles require paying the fee — the spend-based waiver route pays no bonus
  • Lounge guests always cost USD 32, and visits after the first need a prior foreign-currency spend
  • Tier Miles capped at 25,000 a year, half the Premium's allowance
  • 2.54% + ~1.15% foreign-transaction cost undermines the international earn
  • 3.69% monthly profit rate (44.28% APR) if you carry a balance

Our take: The women-only member of the Etihad family is quietly its best-priced: Saqer's benefit package almost line for line, at ⃃ 210 less per year — the trade being a 20,000 rather than 30,000-mile bonus.

Heads up: Available exclusively to women. The 20,000 welcome miles are paid only when the Annual Membership Fee is paid — take the spend-based fee waiver and there is no bonus.

Why we chose it

What makes it strong

Ameera is Saqer's sister card in almost every line of the benefits table — same 3x Etihad earn, same Silver fast-track at ⃃ 2,000, same lounge, transfer, golf, valet and cinema package — but at ⃃ 733.95 it costs ⃃ 210 less per year, making it the cheapest way into this family's lounge tier. The bonus math still works: 20,000 miles for ⃃ 734 is under 4 fils per mile, and the ⃃ 30,000 annual-spend fee waiver is genuinely reachable for a household's everyday card.

What to watch

The family caveats all apply: bonus and waiver don't stack, lounge visits after the first require a token foreign-currency transaction, domestic earning is an 'up to' rate with unpublished category cuts, and this is no card to swipe abroad at 2.54% + ~1.15% FX cost. One extra wrinkle — the bank's own pages disagree with each other on Ameera's fee and current bonus offer (the Arabic page advertises up to 40,000 miles with a spend condition), so confirm the live offer before applying. For an eligible applicant who flies Etihad, it's an easy card to justify; for higher spenders the Premium's Gold fast-track is worth the upgrade.

Pros

  • Lowest fee of the lounge-tier Etihad cards — ⃃ 733.95, waivable at ⃃ 30,000 annual spend
  • 20,000-mile bonus each year the fee is paid — under 4 fils per mile
  • Silver Tier fast-track needs only ⃃ 2,000 of Etihad spend in the first year
  • Same Visa Signature benefits as Saqer: 1,200+ lounges, 2 airport transfers, golf, valet, meet & greet
  • 50% movie-ticket cashback with a modest ⃃ 3,000 monthly spend gate

Cons

  • Open to women only — male applicants must choose the Premium, Saqer or Platinum
  • Welcome miles require paying the fee — the spend-based waiver route pays no bonus
  • Lounge guests always cost USD 32, and visits after the first need a prior foreign-currency spend
  • Tier Miles capped at 25,000 a year, and the 25% voucher needs ⃃ 100,000 of spend
  • 2.54% + ~1.15% foreign-transaction cost undermines the international earn

Our take: A genuinely cheap way to keep Etihad Guest Miles ticking over — 2 Miles per USD online and on wallets for a fee that disappears at ⃃ 10,000 of annual spend. Just don't expect lounges or status.

Heads up: This is the no-frills member of the family: no lounge access, transfers, golf or tier fast-track. The 5,000 bonus miles are paid only when the Annual Membership Fee is paid, not when it's waived.

Why we chose it

What makes it strong

The Platinum is the Etihad family's entry ticket, and judged at its price it holds up: ⃃ 208.95 — waived at just ⃃ 10,000 of annual spend — buys 2 Miles per USD on Etihad and, more usefully, on all online and mobile-wallet transactions, which is where most UAE spending happens now. The 5,000-mile bonus roughly covers the fee in value, the 50% movie cashback (to ⃃ 50 a month at ⃃ 3,000 spend) is an easy win, and the Visa Luxury Hotel Collection is a genuine oddity at this price point.

What to watch

But be clear about what it isn't: there are no lounges, no airport transfers, no golf or valet, no takaful, and no tier fast-track — the FAQ explicitly reserves Silver for Saqer and Ameera holders. The domestic base rate is an 'up to' 1 Mile per USD with unpublished category cuts, and the FX cost rules out using it abroad. If you'll actually fly Etihad more than twice a year, the Ameera or Saqer (if eligible) or the Premium repay their fees quickly; the Platinum is for keeping a miles balance alive on a near-zero budget.

Pros

  • Cheapest entry into Etihad Guest earning — ⃃ 208.95, waivable at only ⃃ 10,000 annual spend (⃃ 3,000 in 90 days for year one)
  • Accelerated 2 Miles per USD on online and mobile-wallet transactions covers most modern spending
  • 10% Miles-discount voucher at a reachable ⃃ 50,000 annual spend
  • 0% Etihad instalment plan, purchase protection and doubled warranty at an entry-level price
  • Visa Luxury Hotel Collection perks rarely seen on a fee this small

Cons

  • No lounge access, airport transfers, golf, valet or travel takaful — those start at Saqer/Ameera
  • No Silver or Gold tier fast-track — that's reserved for the other three variants
  • Base domestic rate is a modest 'up to' 1 Mile per USD with unpublished category reductions
  • The 5,000-mile bonus only pays when you pay the fee — waive it and there's no bonus
  • 2.54% + ~1.15% foreign-transaction cost, so the international rate is illusory value
  • 3.69% monthly profit rate (44.28% APR) if you carry a balance

Why we chose it

What makes it strong

For a committed Etihad flyer with an ⃃ 30,000 salary, the Infinite is the best-built card in FAB's Etihad family. The Gold fast track — one return flight within six months — is the easiest route to a meaningful status in the whole Etihad Guest ecosystem, the 55,000-mile joining bonus is worth well past the first year's fee, and 3.5/6/7 miles per ⃃ 10 are honest, competitive rates. The 75% award voucher at ⃃ 200,000 annual spend is the kicker: for a household routing serious spend through one card, it can nearly zero-out two long-haul award tickets a year.

What to watch

The card still deserves its skeptical read. ⃃ 2,625 recurs every year with no waiver while the joining bonus never repeats, the '7.5 per ⃃ 10' billboard belongs to a ⃃ 250-a-month booster, penalty categories earn a token 1.5, and FAB publishes no detail at all about the lounge program behind 'worldwide lounge access'. Pay in full every month — at 3.99% monthly, revolving a balance would burn the value of every mile you earn.

Pros

  • 55,000-mile joining bonus — the largest in FAB's Etihad lineup
  • Gold fast track after just one return Etihad flight (or 50,000 Tier Miles), with 2.5 Tier Miles per ⃃ 10 on all spend
  • Strong earn rates: 3.5 per ⃃ 10 at home, 6 abroad, 7 on direct Etihad bookings, uncapped on Etihad spend
  • 75% miles-discount voucher at ⃃ 200,000 annual spend can nearly zero-out two award tickets
  • Worldwide lounge access, airport meet & greet, 4 inflight Wi-Fi vouchers and travel accident insurance

Cons

  • ⃃ 2,625 a year with no first-year waiver — the joining bonus only covers it early on
  • The advertised 'up to 7.5 miles per ⃃ 10' is the Miles Accelerator rate — a paid booster at ⃃ 250 a month
  • 3.99% monthly interest (47.88% APR) is among the highest in the UAE market
  • Supermarkets, fuel, utilities, education and government spend earn just 1.5 per ⃃ 10, with a 55,000-mile monthly cap

Why we chose it

What makes it strong

This is the tier where FAB's Etihad lineup starts making real sense. The 35,000-mile joining bonus comfortably outweighs the ⃃ 1,575 fee in year one, the Silver fast track is achievable (two return flights or 25,000 Tier Miles — and your first 90 days earn double Tier Miles), and lounge access plus a 50%-off award voucher at ⃃ 150,000 spend give the card genuine ongoing value for a regular Etihad flyer.

What to watch

The caveats are the same as the whole family's: the advertised 6.5-per-⃃-10 rate costs ⃃ 250 a month extra, penalty categories earn a token 1.5, and 3.99% monthly interest makes carrying a balance ruinous. From year two the fee buys you the lounge access, Tier Miles and voucher — worthwhile if you fly Etihad several times a year, and poor value if you don't.

Pros

  • 35,000-mile joining bonus — worth well over the ⃃ 1,575 first-year fee for an Etihad flyer
  • Fast track to Etihad Guest Silver via two return flights or 25,000 Tier Miles, plus 2.5 Tier Miles per ⃃ 10 on all spend
  • Free access to 1,000+ airport lounges worldwide
  • Double miles (5.5 per ⃃ 10) on direct Etihad and partner bookings, uncapped
  • 50% miles-discount voucher on award flights at ⃃ 150,000 annual spend, plus 2 inflight Wi-Fi vouchers

Cons

  • The advertised 'up to 6.5 miles per ⃃ 10' is the Miles Accelerator rate — a paid booster at ⃃ 250 a month
  • 3.99% monthly interest (47.88% APR) is among the highest in the UAE market
  • ⃃ 1,575 a year with no first-year waiver, and the joining bonus never repeats
  • Supermarkets, fuel, utilities, education and government spend earn just 1.5 per ⃃ 10, with a 30,000-mile monthly cap on everything

Why we chose it

What makes it strong

As an entry ticket to Etihad Guest, the Platinum does its job: an ⃃ 8,000 salary requirement, a 10,000-mile joining bonus that roughly cancels the first year's ⃃ 525 fee, and a genuinely good 4-miles-per-⃃-10 double rate on Etihad bookings made directly online. If your Etihad flying is one or two trips a year and you want the miles ticking over, this is FAB's honest, low-cost option.

What to watch

Just read the card as it is, not as it's advertised. The '5.5 miles per ⃃ 10' headline belongs to a paid booster costing ⃃ 250 a month; the real base rate is 2. There's no lounge access, everyday penalty categories earn a scant 1.5 per ⃃ 10, and 3.99% monthly interest punishes any carried balance. If you can reach an ⃃ 15,000 salary, the Signature's lounge access and 35,000-mile bonus are worth the step up.

Pros

  • The cheapest entry into Etihad Guest earning — ⃃ 8,000 salary and a 525-⃃ fee
  • 10,000-mile joining bonus roughly offsets the first year's fee
  • Double miles (4 per ⃃ 10) on Etihad and partner bookings made directly online, uncapped
  • 25% miles-discount voucher on award flights if you put ⃃ 100,000 through the card in a year
  • Buyers protection and extended warranty included

Cons

  • The advertised 'up to 5.5 miles per ⃃ 10' is the Miles Accelerator rate — a paid booster at ⃃ 250 a month
  • 3.99% monthly interest (47.88% APR) is among the highest in the UAE market
  • No airport lounge access — that starts at the Signature tier
  • Earning is capped at 10,000 miles a month, and supermarkets, fuel, utilities, education and government spend earn just 1.5 per ⃃ 10
  • Foreign spend costs up to 2.61% + VAT plus Visa scheme charges

How Etihad Guest credit cards work

Etihad Guest co-brands earn miles on every purchase and add tier-mile accelerators that pull Silver and Gold status within reach for Abu Dhabi–based flyers.

Focus on two numbers: the earn rate on international spend and the annual fee after year one. Etihad runs frequent transfer and status promotions, and that is when co-brand cardholders extract the most value.

Pair the co-brand with a no-fee backup card for the categories where it earns poorly — groceries and fuel are the usual gaps.
