"Almost every UAE card quietly skims 2% or more off your overseas spending — this one doesn't, and that's its best feature. The dnata earn rates are strong but only matter if Costa runs, Duty Free hauls and dnata Travel bookings are already part of your life. Do the maths on the ⃃ 1,048.95 fee before you commit; abroad-heavy spenders will clear it, homebodies won't."

Earning and redeeming dnata Points

Earning follows a simple ladder: 15% back in dnata Points at dnata-owned brands (Costa Coffee, City Sightseeing, Giraffe, dnata Travel), 10% at MMI, Al Hamra Cellar, Arabian Adventures, Le Clos and on Duty Free shopping, and 1.5% on everything else. That base rate is respectable, and the welcome offer adds up to 2,500 points — 1,000 for paying the joining fee, 1,500 for ⃃ 25,000 of retail spend in the first 3 statements.

Redemption stays inside the dnata ecosystem — dnata Travel bookings across 130+ airlines and thousands of hotels, plus the partner brands — via the bank's 'Redeem dnata Points' guide. Points are not cash in your account and don't transfer to airline programs, so value the card by how much of your life already runs through dnata.

Pros and cons

Pros
Cons
  • 0% bank forex markup on international spend — genuinely rare in the UAE
  • 15% back in dnata Points at Costa Coffee, City Sightseeing, Giraffe and dnata Travel; 10% on Duty Free
  • Solid 1.5% points-back base rate on all other retail spend
  • Lounge access, golf, concierge and Abu Dhabi valet parking included
  • 3.25% monthly interest rate — lower than most ENBD cards
  • ⃃ 1,048.95 joining fee AND the same again every year — not waived for year one
  • Top earn rates are locked to a narrow list of dnata-owned brands
  • dnata Points redeem within the dnata ecosystem, not as open cash or airline miles
  • ⃃ 20,000 minimum salary puts it out of most applicants' reach
  • Mastercard's ~1.15% network processing fee can still apply on non-⃃ spend despite the 0% bank markup

Is it right for you?

Get this card if

  • You spend heavily in foreign currency — the 0% bank markup can save more than the fee on ~⃃ 53,000+ of overseas spend.
  • Costa Coffee, Duty Free and dnata Travel bookings are already part of your routine — that's where the 10–15% rates live.
  • You earn ⃃ 20,000+ a month and want lounge access, golf and concierge in one card.

Consider skipping it if

  • Most of your spending is local and in ⃃ — you'd be paying ⃃ 1,048.95 a year mainly for a forex feature you won't use.
  • You want flexible rewards — dnata Points redeem within the dnata ecosystem, not as cash or airline miles.
  • You'd rather not pay a joining fee at all — ENBD's free-for-life Voyager World covers lounge access without one.
