"If you want Skywards Miles without leaving Islamic banking, this is the card to beat — the Emirates earn rate and Silver tier genuinely match the conventional flagships. Just don't take the marketing at face value: the 75,000-mile bonus takes a balance transfer and USD 20,000 of spend to unlock in full, and at 3.70% the international usage fee claws back a big chunk of what your foreign spend earns."

Earning and redeeming Skywards Miles

Rates are quoted per USD 1 equivalent (about ⃃ 3.67): 2 Miles on Emirates spend, up to 1.5 on foreign-currency spend and up to 1 on local spend. The carve-outs matter — EEA merchants earn 0.75, and a long list of everyday categories (government, supermarkets, utilities, insurance, cars, education, fuel, real estate, telecom, transport) earns just 0.3 Mile per USD. Government spend stops earning past ⃃ 25,000 per statement, and DIB-platform bill payments, charity, crypto and money transfers earn nothing.

There's no bank portal or transfer step: Miles post to your Emirates Skywards account within 48 hours, where you spend them on Emirates flights, upgrades and partners. The 12-month complimentary Silver tier stacks on top — Emirates lounge access in Dubai, 12kg extra baggage and free seat selection — and existing Gold or Platinum status is untouched.

Get this card if

  • You fly Emirates regularly and want your card fully Sharia-compliant — no other Islamic card earns Skywards this hard.
  • You can realistically trigger the bonus tranches: an ⃃ 50,000 balance transfer or USD 20,000 of spend in 4 statements.
  • You spend ⃃ 8,000+ a month anyway, unlocking the transfers, valet and other conditional perks.

Consider skipping it if

  • Your spending is mostly supermarkets, fuel and bills — those earn 0.3 Mile per USD, a third of the base rate.
  • You spend a lot abroad — the 3.70% international usage fee is roughly double the conventional competition.

Is the Emirates Skywards DIB Infinite Card Sharia-compliant?+

Yes. DIB is a fully Islamic bank and this is a covered card built on the Sharia principle of Salam with an Investment Wakala account, approved by DIB's Internal Sharia Supervision Committee. The monthly profit rate is up to 3.69%, and late payment triggers a charity donation of AED 236.25 rather than a penalty fee to the bank.

What is the minimum salary for the Emirates Skywards DIB Infinite Card?+

AED 20,000 per month.

How many Skywards Miles does the card earn?+

Per USD 1 equivalent spent: 2 Miles on Emirates spend, up to 1.5 Miles on foreign-currency spend, and up to 1 Mile on local spend. EEA merchants earn 0.75 Mile, and everyday categories like supermarkets, fuel, utilities, education and telecom earn a reduced 0.3 Mile. Miles reach your Skywards account within 48 hours.

Yes — unlimited access to over 1,200 lounges worldwide for you and a guest through the Visa Airport Companion app. Only the first visit each calendar year is unconditionally free: subsequent visits require a foreign-currency purchase at a merchant outside the UAE at least 15 days beforehand, otherwise US$32 per visit is charged.

Does the card come with Emirates Skywards Silver membership?+

Yes — complimentary Skywards Silver for the primary cardholder, valid 12 months from card issuance. It brings bonus Miles on Emirates flights, 12kg extra baggage, Emirates lounge access at Dubai International and free seat selection. Existing Gold or Platinum tiers are unaffected.

How do the complimentary airport transfers work?+

You get 4 transfers per year between Dubai International Terminal 3 and Abu Dhabi. They're complimentary only if you bought an Emirates ticket on the card within the prior 6 months and maintain AED 8,000 minimum monthly spend — otherwise up to AED 335 (excluding VAT) is billed per ride.
