Rewards rate
"At 5,000 salary and zero fee, the Prime Platinum's USD 100,000 family travel cover is the standout — most starter cards give you nothing like it. Rewards are an afterthought at ~1%; take it for the protections, and upgrade to the Signature once your salary allows."
Earning and redeeming Wala'a Rewards
The Prime Platinum earns 2 Wala'a Rewards per 1 on UAE retail spend and 2.2 per equivalent in foreign currency. With 20,000 Wala'a Rewards worth 100, that's about 1% back domestically. The Prime family's traps apply here too: EU spend earns nothing, and supermarkets, telecom, education, petroleum, government services (including utility bills), takaful, car dealers, transport and real estate drop to 0.2 Wala'a per — roughly 0.1%. Bills paid through DIB's own platforms, FX purchases, crypto, wire transfers and charity earn nothing.
Redemption is simple and fixed-value: flights and hotels, statement credit, Amazon.ae gift cards, utility bill payments or miles exchange, all at 20,000 points = 100 through the DIB app.
