"At an ⃃ 5,000 salary, a guaranteed 3% on groceries, fuel and bills is about as good as UAE cashback gets — no tiers, no 'up to'. The caps are tight and the ⃃ 3,000 monthly gate is unforgiving, so this is a card you commit your essentials to, not one you leave in a drawer."

Earning guaranteed cashback

The card pays a flat 3% on seven everyday categories: supermarket and hypermarket purchases (capped ⃃ 300/month), automobile servicing (⃃ 300), Etisalat and du bills (⃃ 100), fuel (⃃ 100), utility bills (⃃ 100), Salik and Nol recharges (⃃ 25) and school fees (⃃ 300). Total cashback is capped at ⃃ 1,000 per billing cycle, and from 10 October 2026 the supermarket and school-fee caps drop to ⃃ 200 each.

Two gates matter: you need ⃃ 3,000+ of retail purchases in a statement cycle to earn anything, and cashback applies to UAE transactions only. Bills paid through DIB's own platforms, charity, crypto, wire transfers and other quasi-cash transactions never earn. No points, no catalogue — the reward is ⃃, which makes the value easy to check on every statement.
