Rewards rate
The Prestige is the right shape for someone whose spending is genuinely international: 3 points per dollar abroad, 2 on every , lounge access with a guest and unlimited weekday golf. What stops us recommending it more widely is the Citi Premier sitting right below it at half the fee and paying more on dining, fuel and groceries.
Earning and redeeming ThankYou Points
The Prestige pays 3 ThankYou Points per USD 1 on non- spend and a flat 2 per USD 1 on everything charged in — dining, fuel and groceries included, with no uplift and no penalty. European Economic Area currencies drop to 1.5, and the standard Citi penalty bucket (utilities, telecom, government services, education, insurance, real estate, transit and transport in ) falls to 0.5 points per USD. Utility bills paid through Citibank Online or the Citi Mobile app earn nothing.
Points redeem three ways: Fly with Points puts a statement credit against a flight on any airline in one click, Points Transfer moves them to 11 partner airline and hotel programmes including Qatar, Turkish and British Airways, or you can take a plain cash rebate. Citi's own published illustration values 4,500 points at 100 — about 0.022 a point — which turns 2 points per dollar into roughly 1.2% back on spend. Paying the annual fee also releases 10,000 bonus points each year.
