Cashback rate
" 135 a month at the apps you already pay is over 1,600 a year from a card that costs nothing — the honest question is whether 5,000 a month will actually flow through it. If yes, this is the easiest free card in the UAE to justify; if not, you'll earn zero most months."
Earning and redeeming CBD One cashback
The mechanics are simple and strict. Clear 5,000 of total card spend in a calendar month and CBD refunds your spending at its selected merchants — noon, Airbnb, Booking.com, Amazon, iTunes, Uber, Careem, Zomato, Talabat, Deliveroo, Netflix, Prime Video, Spotify, Novo/VOX/Reel/Roxy Cinemas, Starbucks, Caribou, Tim Hortons, Costa, ClassPass and Fitness First — in full, up to 135 for that month.
There are no points to manage: cashback is computed monthly and lands on your card account in the third week of the following month. Cash withdrawals, balance transfers, bank fees and insurance charges don't count as qualifying spend, and the merchant list is set — and changeable — by the bank.

Is it right for you?
Get this card if
- You reliably spend 5,000+ a month on cards and want a free keeper card.
- Your delivery apps, subscriptions and coffee habit already exceed 135 a month.
- You want lounge access and travel insurance without paying an annual fee.
Consider skipping it if
- Your monthly card spend hovers below 5,000 — you'd earn nothing most months.
- You want cashback on general spending, not just a fixed merchant list.
- You spend heavily abroad; the 3.5% FX fee outweighs the rebate.
