Frequently asked questions
Is the Marriott Bonvoy® ADIB Visa Infinite Card Sharia-compliant?+
Yes. It is an ADIB covered card — a Sharia-compliant structure based on a commodity Murabaha contract, supervised by ADIB's Internal Shari'a Supervisory Committee. It cannot be used for non-Sharia-compliant purchases such as alcohol or gambling.
What is the annual fee?+
AED 2,500 a year plus 5% VAT, per ADIB's Key Facts Statement and Schedule of Charges. The first four supplementary cards are free until further notice; AED 2,500 applies from the fifth. No first-year waiver is advertised.
How does the 200,000-point welcome offer work?+
It's a limited-time offer for applications from 27 August to 30 November 2026, with the card issued by 15 December 2026: 100,000 points on card issuance (the product page adds a first retail transaction within 30 days), plus 100,000 more after US$15,000 of retail spend in the first 90 days — the standard 50,000 plus a 50,000 limited-time bonus. Outside the campaign the total is up to 150,000. Upgrades from the Signature and supplementary cardholders don't qualify.
How many Marriott Bonvoy points does the card earn?+
Per US$1 (or equivalent): 8 points charged directly at participating Marriott hotels and Marriott-branded stores, 4 points on international spend outside the European Economic Area (1.5 inside it), 3 points on UAE spend, and 0.5 points at 'Specific Merchants' — supermarkets, government services, utilities, education, petrol stations, real estate agents, public transport, Salik and charities.
What Marriott Bonvoy status do I get?+
Gold Elite from card-account opening (25% bonus points on stays, enhanced room upgrades, 2PM late checkout), plus 15 Elite Night Credits every year. Spend US$25,000 in a card-account year to move up to Platinum Elite (55% bonus points, 4PM late checkout and a choice of welcome gift).
How does the annual Free Night Award work?+
Each year, 8-10 weeks after you pay the annual fee at your card anniversary, you receive a Free Night Award for one standard-room night at a participating hotel costing up to 85,000 points. You can add up to 25,000 of your own points for a pricier hotel. It's valid for 12 months and unused value is forfeited.
What is the US$100 property credit?+
Book a stay of two nights or more at The Ritz-Carlton or St. Regis directly with Marriott at the '$100 Property Credit, Luxury Credit Card Rate', pay with the card at checkout, and you get up to US$100 off in-hotel spend such as dining. It doesn't cover the room rate, taxes or third-party outlets, and applies once per booking.
Does the card include airport lounge access?+
ADIB's card comparison document lists unlimited lounge access for the cardholder and one guest companion to over 1,000 airport lounges, plus Valtrans valet parking four times a month and four airport transfers a year. The product page doesn't detail these perks, so confirm the access method with ADIB.
What is the minimum salary required?+
ADIB does not publish a card-specific minimum salary for this card. Its Key Facts Statement sets a minimum monthly income of AED 5,000 for covered cards in general; the bank assesses eligibility case by case — confirm directly with ADIB.
