Rewards rate
"At 199 a year this is one of the cheapest Sharia-compliant Platinum cards in the UAE, and the lounge visits and roadside assistance are genuine extras at this price. Just be clear about what it isn't: groceries, fuel and bills earn a token 0.125 per 100, and ADIB never tells you what an Exceed Reward is worth in . Buy it as a low-cost Islamic daily card, not as a rewards engine."
Earning and redeeming Exceed Rewards
The structure is unusual: 1.5 Exceed Rewards per 100 internationally, 0.5 per 100 at home, and a long 'Specific Merchants' list — supermarkets, government services, utilities, education, petrol stations, real estate agencies, public transport, Salik and charities — earning just 0.125 per 100. Europe is the trap to know about: spend in EEA countries earns 0.125, not the 1.5x international rate, per Visa's country classification.
Redemption is the programme's best feature: points convert instantly in the ADIB mobile app to utility bill payments (DEWA, Etisalat, du), retail and online shopping vouchers, or money towards flights and hotels — no minimum threshold, no blackout dates. Points land within 45 days of your billing cycle and last three years. What ADIB does not publish is the value of a point, so treat the earning as a bonus rather than a reason to choose the card.

Is it right for you?
Get this card if
- You want a Sharia-compliant card and a low, predictable 199 annual fee.
- You spend regularly outside the UAE (outside Europe) — that's where the 1.5x rate lives.
- A couple of lounge visits and roadside assistance cover your travel-perk needs.
Consider skipping it if
- Your spending is mostly groceries, fuel, bills and school fees — those earn a token 0.125 per 100.
- You carry a balance — the fixed 3.75% monthly profit rate (45.63% APR) is among the market's highest.
- You want rewards with a clear, published cash value — Exceed Rewards have none.
Alternatives to consider
Half the fee at 99 with the same UAE earn rate — you give up the lounge visits and drop from 1.5 to 1.0 per 100 abroad.
Same bank, same Sharia-compliant structure, but rewards paid as cashback with a clear value instead of unpriced Exceed points.
