Rewards rate
"The Platinum keeps the two perks that actually matter — the any-cabin companion ticket at 150,000 of spend and a Gold fast track after two return flights — and drops the luxuries. At 2,100 all-in it's the value pick of ADIB's Etihad range, provided your spending genuinely reaches the companion-ticket threshold."
Earning and redeeming Etihad Guest Miles
You earn 2.2 miles per 4 on local spend and 3 per 4 internationally (1.2 at EEA merchants) — a genuinely competitive rate for a mid-tier card, though the 2.3% non- fee claws back part of the international advantage. The usual 'specific merchants' list — supermarkets, government services, utilities, education, petrol, real estate, public transport, Salik, charities — earns 1 mile per 4. Linking the card in the Etihad Guest app adds 1 mile + 1 Tier Mile per 3 at 'miles on the go' partners.
Miles post to your Etihad Guest account and redeem for flights, upgrades, hotels and partners. The two milestone perks do the heavy lifting: 150,000 of annual spend earns a companion ticket voucher valid to any Etihad destination in any cabin, and two return Etihad flights within your first 12 months fast-track you to Etihad Guest Gold — priority check-in, lounge access at Etihad hubs and bonus miles on every flight.

- Supermarkets, fuel, utilities, education and other 'specific merchants' earn only 1 mile per 4
- Lounge access is 4 visits a year for the cardholder only — guests pay
Is it right for you?
Get this card if
- You fly Etihad a few times a year and can realistically spend 150,000 annually for the companion ticket.
- You want the Gold fast track — two return flights is one of the easiest status shortcuts in the market.
- You want a Sharia-compliant travel card and the Infinite's 3,000 fee is more than you'll use.
Consider skipping it if
- You won't reach 150,000 a year — without the companion ticket, the 2,100 fee is hard to earn back.
- You expect lounge comfort on every trip — 4 solo visits a year runs out fast.
- Your spend concentrates in supermarkets, fuel, education and utilities, which earn 1 mile per 4.
Alternatives to consider
1,000 more a year buys unlimited lounges with a guest, the top earn rate, airport transfers, golf and an upgrade voucher.
